Liebe eduroam-Userin, lieber eduroam-User
Die Login-Infrastruktur für die WLAN-SSID «eduroam» (Wireless LAN) hat das Ende ihrer Lebensdauer erreicht und muss erneuert werden.
Was ändert sich?
• Bisher erfolgte die Authentifizierung für die WLAN-SSID eduroam mittels Ihrem ‘shortname’ und einem dedizierten (d.h. nur diesem Dienst zugeordneten) Passwort.
• Neu wird das eduroam-Login vereinfacht: Sie melden sich in Zukunft ganz einfach mit Ihrem
UZH-Standard-Login an – wie bei Microsoft365, VPN oder UZH-WLAN.
• Das heisst:
user: vorname.nachname@uzh.ch bzw. vorname.nachname@institutskürzel.uzh.ch
pw: Ihr persönliches UZH-Standard-Passwort
Bitte beachten Sie:
Die Umstellung erfolgt am Mittwoch, 5. Juni 2024, 06:00 Uhr – Ab diesem Zeitpunkt gelten die neuen Login-Vorgaben in eduroam.

Dear eduroam user,
The login infrastructure for the WLAN SSID "eduroam" (wireless LAN) has reached the end of its service life and needs to be renewed.
What is changing?
• Until now, authentication for the WLAN SSID eduroam was carried out using your 'shortname' and a dedicated password (i.e. only assigned to this service).
• The eduroam login will be simplified: In future, you will log in with your UZH standard login - as with Microsoft365, VPN or UZH-WLAN.
• This means: user: firstname.lastname@uzh.ch OR firstname.lastname@institute-abbreviation.uzh.ch pw: Your personal UZH standard password
Please note:
The changeover will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 06:00 a.m. - From this point on, the new login requirements in eduroam will apply.
