The program will support interdisciplinary consortia with up to CHF 50 million over six years.

The Horten Health Foundation has launched PIONEER Spark, a program designed to support ambitious, collaborative initiatives that integrate clinical insights, data-driven innovation, and patient-centered approaches. The goal is to fund three to five interdisciplinary consortia over six years, with a total budget of CHF 50 million. The program targets experienced research leaders and institutions committed to cross-boundary collaboration, clear milestones, and measurable patient impact.

The call for proposals is now open, with a pre-proposal deadline of July 28, 2026 (23:59 CEST). Further details are available on the Horten Health Foundation website.
