The LOOP Zurich: Call for Incubator Projects 2024

Es ist uns eine Freude Ihnen die erste The LOOP Zurich-Ausschreibung für Inkubator-Projekte anzukündigen. / It is our pleasure to announce the first The LOOP Zurich Call for Incubator Projects.

Inkubator Projekte sollen die Strategie des The LOOP Zürich im Bereich Präzisionsmedizin ergänzen, indem sie eine Forschungsidee entwickeln oder helfen ein neues Konsortium zu etablieren. Im Gegensatz zu "LOOP Translational Projects" ist die Einbindung einer klinischen Forschungskomponente oder einer biomedizinischen Informatikkomponente bei Inkubator Projekten nicht zwingend erforderlich.

Ziele von LOOP-Inkubator Projekten sollen Folgendes umfassen:

  • Aufklärung neuer molekularer Signalwege, die für Krankheiten relevant sind.
  • Identifizierung neuer zellulärer- und molekularer Ziele für Diagnose und Therapie und/oder Entwicklung neuartiger MedTech-Lösungen für Diagnose und Therapie.

LOOP Inkubator Projekte werden mit maximal 1 Mio. CHF unterstützt (Laufzeit von 3 Jahren). Es können max. ein bis zwei Projekte pro Jahr gefördert werden (bei jahrlichen Ausschreibungen).

These project types are intended to complement The LOOP Zurich's strategy in the field of precision medicine by developing a research idea or helping to establish a new consortium.

In contrast to "LOOP Translational Projects", the integration of a clinical research component or a biomedical informatics component is not mandatory for Incubator Projects.

Goals of LOOP Incubator Projects should include the following:

  • Identification of new molecular signaling pathways relevant to diseases.
  • Identification of new cellular and molecular targets for diagnosis and therapy and/or development of novel MedTech solutions for diagnosis and therapy.

LOOP Incubator Projects are supported with a maximum of 1 million CHF, spent over a period of 3 years. One or two projects can be funded per year. The LOOP Zurich will launch a call for Incubator Projects every year.
